Mary-Alice Ernst, ANP
Primary Service: Medical Staff
I hold a bachelors degree in Psychology from the College of Wooster and did my graduate work at the Ohio State University. There, I spent two years at the OSU Stress and Health Study, doing research on families dealing with Alzheimer’s, the effects of fish oil and yoga on stress, and stress in survivors of breast and colon cancer.
As a nurse practitioner, I partner with patients, incorporating physical, emotional, intellectual, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs into their individualized plan of care. I consider it a privilege everyday to teach, and to learn from my patients. In March, 2011, I completed training to be a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE).
