University Health Services has on-site x-ray services and a newly added, state-of-the-art musculoskeletal ultrasound to aid in diagnosis of injuries.
The x-ray services area is located on the first floor of UHS near the laboratory. Registered radiological technologists take all general diagnostic x-rays, including orthopedic x-rays, by order of a UHS physician or nurse practitioner. Your UHS provider will look at the x-rays with you in real time, then a consulting radiologist will provide a secondary interpretation of the x-rays in the following days.
Our musculoskeletal ultrasound can help diagnose your injury in real-time. Our portable ultrasound machine can be wheeled into the exam room for point-of-care evaluation. With the expertise of our physicians, you’ll have a more complete evaluation of our injury and treatment plan.
