Join us October 20–25, 2024, to celebrate Healthy Campus Week. Connect with resources that support your physical, mental, and sexual well-being.

At every event you can enter our prize drawing. The more events you attend, the better your chance of winning!

October 20: Sleep Well Sunday 

Meditation Retreat. Learn about the benefits of meditation and how it can improve your sleep. Join the Duck Nest in a meditation retreat and learn how you might incorporate meditation into your sleep hygiene routine. 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., EMU Cedar and Spruce Rooms. Students and faculty/staff welcome.

October 21: Joyful Movement Monday 

Joyful Movement Triathlon. Participate in a noncompetitive joyful movement triathlon! Sponsored by Columbia Sportswear, participants who finish all three events (dance, a walk, and choose-your-own play adventure) will be entered to win prizes from Columbia at the event! No experience necessary—all levels of experience welcome. 1:30–2:30 p.m., EMU Gumwood Room.

October 22: Tasty Tuesday

Produce Drop. Check out the Produce Drop and learn about other great food resources on campus! Trillium Produce Plus Produce Drops are on Tuesdays, 2:45 p.m. until food runs out, EMU Amphitheater. Students only.

Cooking Class. Attend a cooking class to learn how to make easy, nutritious meals on a budget. Sign up for the cooking class can be found through the Duck Nest Instagram or Engage. 6:00–8:00 p.m. in Global Scholars Hall Demo Kitchen. Students only.

October 23: Well-Being Wednesday 

SHAC and Basic Needs Present: Health and Wellness Resource Fair. The Student Health Advisory Committee and Basic Needs program are hosting this interactive and informative event. This is also a UO National Transfer Student Week event. Attend this resource fair to learn about all of the great programs on campus to support your health and well-being. You can also get your blood pressure, bone density, and lung function tested! Noon–2:00 p.m., EMU Crater Lake Rooms. More applicable to students.

Well-Being Panel. Learn from well-being experts on campus in our student-hosted panel discussion on how students can support their health and well-being while at the UO and beyond! 4:00–5:30 p.m., EMU Redwood Auditorium. Students and faculty/staff welcome.

October 24: Therapy Animal Thursday

Dogs and Goats! Mental health is essential to your overall health and well-being! Stop by the EMU East Lawn (between the EMU Green and Carson Hall) to say hello to therapy dogs from FETCH and therapy goats from Portland Goat Parties. Experience the stress-reducing and mood-boosting benefits of therapy animals! The therapy dogs will be available from 10:30–11:30 a.m. The goats will be on the lawn from 1:30–3:30 p.m. Students and faculty/staff welcome.

October 25: Physical Friday

Get moving with the Run, Walk, and Roll with the Duck 5k! Free for students, faculty, staff, and community members. It begins at noon starting at Riverfront Field (south side of the Autzen footbridge). The first 250 registered participants that show up will get a free shirt! Register online. Students, faculty/staff, and community welcome.

Sexual Well-Being and Eating Disorder Awareness and Support Tabling. Check out interactive tabling in the EMU (across from Chipotle and Starbucks) from 1:00–3:00 p.m. Learn about resources and win some prizes/goody bags! More applicable to students.
