Support for AAPI Students, Staff, and Faculty Regarding Recent Attacks on AAPI Community
University Health Services join the rest of the University of Oregon community in expressing our empathy and solidarity with the Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander communities in the face of violence and discrimination both nationally and across the world. Since the start of the pandemic, we have witnessed an alarming increase in acts of anti-Asian violence, harassment, and xenophobia. These recent incidents compound the historic and systemic discrimination experienced by AAPI communities. Such acts of hate can greatly impact the mental health and well-being of our communities. As such, University Health Services is committed to offering support to AAPI students, faculty, staff, and student organizations in the efforts to dismantle anti-Asian racism.
If you are in distress, please know that we are here to help. Students are welcome to utilize University Counseling Services and/or the after-hour support and crisis line by calling 541-346-3227.
