A Message from UHC's Executive Director
As we move through the COVID-19 pandemic, I want to assure you the University Health Center (UHC) is here for all students of the University of Oregon. UHC remains open for your health and mental health care needs. We recognize people may have symptoms of coronavirus, but may also be ill with other symptoms or have injuries that need medical attention. We are here for you!
UHC hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. UHC asks you to call first. Please call us at 541-346-2770 to speak with a nurse. Our nurses will assist you to obtain an appointment with the correct provider for your healthcare needs. All those coming into UHC will move through a screening process to assess for fever or cough. Those exhibiting symptoms will be evaluated by our respiratory clinic providers. Those with no respiratory symptoms will go onto their scheduled appointments, the pharmacy, physical therapy, counseling center, or testing center.
Currently UHC is providing limited healthcare services in order to adhere to the CDC guidelines to preserve the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). For the services we are providing, we are assuring proper social distancing for the protection of those in the building. We will carefully monitor these guidelines and will re-open all service lines as soon as possible.
Please remember, the best line of defense against coronavirus and all other illness is to wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. The CDC recommends you wear a cloth face mask in public settings. Please review the guidelines for proper use of cloth masks.
We take everyone’s health and safety seriously. We are following all CDC guidelines for proper use of PPE, screening, and providing safe healthcare. I want you to know we are in this together, and we are here for you!
